West Bromwich Albion will go into their Championship play-off semi-final second leg against Aston Villa looking to overturn a one-goal deficit without striker Dwight Gayle.

Albion’s top scorer was dismissed having been sent off in their 2-1 away defeat to local rivals Villa and will miss the return leg at The Hawthorns tomorrow night.

The Villans staged a second-half comeback with goals from substitute Conor Hourihane and Tammy Abraham, who converted from the penalty spot.
