Heather Knight proud of England despite World T20 Final defeat

ENGLAND captain Heather Knight hinted that there is a bright future for the team, despite losing the Women’s World T20 final to Australia in Antigua yesterday.

Australia registered a comfortable eight-wicket victory, dismissing England for 105 in 19.4 overs before rattling off 106 for two in just 15.1 overs, but Knight was proud of the way her side performed throughout the tournament.

“We just kept losing momentum in the innings, I guess, with those wickets,” the 27-year-old told the ICC official website. “Never really got the big partnership together that’s going to push us on.
