Frampton forces Jackson's corner to throw in the towel
AT BELFAST’S Windsor Park on Saturday, hometown hero Carl Frampton scored a ninth round TKO over Australia's Luke Jackson.
The undefeated Jackson wasn’t expected to be too much of a challenge for the former super bantamweight and featherweight champion, who successfully outskilled the travelling fighter.
Frampton’s continually impressive movement and footwork made Jackson struggle for any success. Impressive punch variety saw a savage body shot drop Jackson in the eighth. A round later, with his right eye nearly completely closed and his hands lowering, Jackson’s corner correctly pulled their man out.
