Pioneering doctor and socialist Julian Tudor-Hart dies at 91

PIONEERING doctor and committed socialist Julian Tudor-Hart died yesterday aged 91.

Mr Tudor-Hart worked for over 30 years as a general practitioner in the south Wales mining village of Glyncorrwg. He became widely renowned for his pioneering approach.

He is believed to be the first doctor to regularly take the blood pressure of all patients and was able to cut down on premature deaths in his patients by 30 per cent.
