Man threatened with arrest after swearing in frustration at the authorities' radio silence

POLICE threatened to arrest a man shut out of his home as a result of the Glasgow fire after he swore in frustration at the authorities’ radio silence.

Adrian Nairn said he was evacuated from his home in Dalhousie Street at about 1am on Saturday as the massive blaze at the nearby Glasgow School of Art escalated at an “unbelievable rate.”

He told the Star he had been watching World Cup highlights on TV when officers told him and his 74-year-old mother to leave.
