FULHAM moved into the automatic promotion spot on Tuesday night with an excellent performance against Reading. A goal from Stefan Johansen following a sublime low cross by left-back Matt Targett ensured Fulham made it 20 games unbeaten in the Championship.
It was another excellent Fulham display. Reading, who knocked Fulham out of the play-offs last season, made it difficult for the Cottagers in the early stages, but the belief of the relegation-threatened side dropped after Johansen’s strike.
Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli did not have to make one save, as the home side carved out numerous chances with the prolific Mitrovic lacking his usual clinical marksmanship.
