Aberdeen bus drivers to walk out over ‘two-tier’ workforce

BUS drivers are set to strike over the creation of a “two-tier workforce,” the Unite union announced yesterday.

FirstGroup workers in Aberdeen will follow up an overtime ban and a series of one-day strikes with a week of walkouts from March 26.

Unite said bosses had imposed changes to pay, overtime, sick pay, and working patterns which added up to slash workers’ income by up to a quarter.
