JOSE MOURINHO played down Manchester United’s victory over rivals Liverpool on Saturday as his side embark on a season-defining week.

The Red Devils strengthened their grip on second place in the Premier League with a 2-1 win over the third-placed Merseysiders at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford, who was making his first start for United since Boxing Day, netted a first-half brace before Eric Bailly’s bizarre own goal after the break gave the visitors hope that they could take something from the game.
