EU LEADERS re-elected Donald Tusk as president of the European Council yesterday, despite the vehement opposition of his own country’s government.
The Brussels summit plumped for more of the same leadership that has steered the EU towards a widely predicted break-up.
Mr Tusk won a fresh term of office over the objections of Poland’s conservative Law and Justice Party (PiS) government.
