STRANGE perhaps that the same nation that produced Herman Melville, the author of Moby Dick and his story of the hunt and pursuit of the great whale, should also have produced Charlie Haden, the composer of Song of the Whales, a green anthem indeed and the music of love for and survival of all beings of the natural world.
