TIKTAALIK is an Inuit word given to the fossilised body of an amphibian prehistoric creature that first made the move from ocean to land, discovered among the rocks of the Canadian Arctic.

Raised along the same Pacific coastline, hundreds of miles south in British Columbia was the phenomenal pianist Renee Rosnes.
