JEREMY CORBYN has outlined his vision for a post-Brexit Britain in which “no-one and no community is left behind” after Labour heartlands voted for leaving the EU despite the party’s position in favour of Remain.
The Labour leader gave a speech on immigration in central London on Saturday, in which he said that the country is now entering “a new world” that the Tories cannot be trusted to navigate.
The country has to move beyond the “irresponsible” idea that people debating immigration are “Little Englanders or racists,” he added, because the issue “played a central role in the EU referendum campaign.”
With ‘Your Party’ holding its founding conference in Liverpool this weekend, JEREMY CORBYN speaks to Morning Star editor Ben Chacko about its potential, its priorities — and a few of its controversies too
Every Starmer boast about removing asylum-seekers probably wins Reform another seat while Labour loses more voters to Lib Dems, Greens and nationalists than to the far right — the disaster facing Labour is the leadership’s fault, writes DIANE ABBOTT MP
Starmer sabotaged Labour with his second referendum campaign, mobilising a liberal backlash that sincerely felt progressive ideals were at stake — but the EU was then and is now an entity Britain should have nothing to do with, explains NICK WRIGHT
