IN AN emergency debate in the Scottish Parliament today First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will urge MSPs to support her in forthcoming talks aimed at keeping Scotland’s place in the EU.
Ms Sturgeon said it was “democratically unacceptable for Scotland to face the prospect of being taken out of the European Union against the wishes of the people” and said she was “determined to explore every avenue to retain Scotland’s EU status.”
Britain as a whole voted 52 per cent to 48 per cent to Leave, while Scotland backed Remain by 62 per cent and leave by 38 per cent.
