Scotland - Fisherfolk: Our plaice is outside the EU

SCOTLAND’S fisherfolk want out of the European Union despite Nicola Sturgeon’s efforts to stay in.

Scottish Fishermen’s Federation chief Bertie Armstrong said yesterday: “For the fishing industry it’s a complete no brainer — we should be out the EU and out the common fisheries policy.

“For Scotland’s economically important fishing industry, we believe the new opportunities presented by the referendum result are overwhelmingly for the better.”
