European Union: ‘Worrying’ plans to criminalise travel hiding in anti-terror law

ANTI-TERROR laws going through the European Parliament that could criminalise travel are “ripe for abuse,” Green MEPs have warned.

The European Parliament passed the legislation at an early reading on Monday.

Greens-European Free Alliance home affairs spokesperson Eva Joly said: “Europe badly needs a common and coherent approach to tackling terrorism but today’s vote represents a missed opportunity to this end.
