Aslef: Jez is on the right track

TRAIN DRIVERS ploughed full steam into the Labour leadership election yesterday with a whistling endorsement for Jeremy Corbyn.

Footplatemen’s union Aslef, which was among the first to nominate the left leader last summer, said he offered an alternative to Labour figures who promoted “the same sort of discredited policies as the Tories.”

Aslef general secretary Mick Whelan said: “Jeremy Corbyn has been a breath of fresh air. He has been honest, and he has been decent, and you can’t always say that about our politicians.”
