Charity calls for action to tackle global tax avoiders

ACTIONAID challenged the government yesterday to do more to tackle the “scourge” of tax avoidance in poor countries following its pledge to clamp down on the problem over here.
The Treasury has announced plans to fine accountancy firms that sell tax avoidance schemes to businesses up to 100 per cent of the dodged tax.
