Give him one last hurrah
Scotland must call time on disasterous relationship with Strachan after next month’s qualifying clash with England, argues ANDREW MUIRHEAD

THE Tartan Army will have to grin and bear another match with Gordon Strachan at the helm after the Scottish FA declared it would not be sacking the “tactician.”

Scotland will travel down to Wembley next month to face a beleaguered England side, still coming to terms with the fallout from Sam Allardyce’s exit, but for Strachan it is a game where he could potentially redeem himself and the team’s chances of qualifying for Russia in 2018. But, in my opinion, no matter the result Strachan should head out of the exit door.

Strachan has won eight of his 19 games as Scotland boss — a 47 per cent win ratio that flatters the former Celtic and Southampton manager.
