South Sudan: Kenya deports rebel leader’s spokesman

KENYA has deported South Sudanese rebel warlord Riek Machar’s spokesman to his own country, Nairobi said yesterday.

James Gatdet was sent home after he wrote a Facebook post in support of the removal of a Kenyan general as head of the peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.

Kenyan government spokesman Eric Kiraithe said: “He [Mr Gatdet] became an inadmissible person, so we cancelled his visa and he was taken to his country of origin.”
