The Kurds are under attack, so why the silence?
While Kurdish cities are persecuted in Turkey, our state and media says nothing. It’s an affront to us all, writes DEREK WALL

WEDNESDAY’S bomb attack in Ankara must be condemned, but it is easy to forget that there is essentially a situation of war in Turkey.

This a war that almost nobody is talking about. Both the European Union and David Cameron are united in silence.

While the mainstream British media debates why Jeremy Corbyn has the audacity to christen his pet “El Gato,” they say nothing about a massacre.

  • Derek Wall is international co-ordinator of the Green Party of England and Wales.
  • The demonstration starts at the BBC at midday and marches to Trafalgar Square. Further details can be found at stopwaronkurds.org.
