Labour: ‘Small business and workers will be at top table’

BEER AND SANDWICHES will return to Downing Street if Labour wins the next election, John McDonnell hinted yesterday.

The shadow chancellor told attendees at the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) conference that both unions and business leaders would have seats at Westminster’s “top table” under his watch.

He said: “We want to look at new institutions which bring businesses to the top table of political decision making again. So, I want small businesses at the top table in government for policy-making.
