Libya: New regime has a go at opposition leaders

LIBYA’S new UN-backed government threatened yesterday to report 17 politicians and other leaders to Interpol and the UN security council.

The Government of National Accord (GNA), established in neighbouring Tunisia, published the names on its Facebook page, vowing to have them prosecuted for “supporting terrorism” if they continued to “impede democratic transition.”

Prime Minister Fayez al-Serraj arrived in the capital Tripoli on Wednesday from Tunisia aboard a Libyan vessel, according to the GNA’s website, which denied reports that the officials had been brought in aboard an Italian ship.
