Doctors are rightly angry

JUNIOR doctors have again demonstrated overwhelming backing for the stance of their BMA negotiators towards the government’s contract diktat by striking.

They retain widespread public support because people understand that imposition of an unfair and unsafe contract is bad for both doctors and patients.

Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt’s chief priority is to cut costs and to force junior doctors to work longer hours to suit his political hobbyhorse.
