Arsenal vice-captain Jordan Nobbs yesterday warned the Women’s Super League against going down the same route as its United States counterpart — which was forced to fold three years ago.
As the WSL continues to flourish, more and more players are signing full-term contracts.
But Nobbs has seen this happen before, the Women’s Professional Soccer league in the US folded in 2012 due to a lack of investment, and urged those in charge of the WSL to implement a full-proof strategy to avoid a situation where the league has to shut down.
