Unions attack Johnson’s rushed 24-hour Tube plans
UNIONS blasted London mayor Boris Johnson’s “back-of-a fag-packet plan” for a 24-hour Tube yesterday, as they resumed talks with bosses over pay.
London Underground plans to run 24-hour services on its deep level lines from September, but the changes have come paired with the closure of every booking office on the network.
Unions say no progress has been made on a pay deal for this year — and arrangements for staff working on the new services are still up in the air.
