Scottish nationalist leader tells SNP conference delegates the Yes Scotland independence campaign points the way to the country becoming a 'beacon of hope'

Alex Salmond told his supporters yesterday that the Yes campaign has the “momentum” in the run-up to September’s independence referendum.

The First Minister said it was “Scotland’s moment to be a beacon of hope.”

He told SNP conference in Aberdeen that the Yes campaign had made a “positive, uplifting, hopeful” case for independence.
