Thousands oppose PKK bomb attacks

TURKEY: Thousands demonstrated in the eastern city of Elazig yesterday against Thursday’s suicide car bombing claimed by the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
“Our comrade … carried out a suicide attack on police headquarters in Elazig,” the PKK said, but made no claim for three other attacks in the region, including a roadside bombing yesterday that injured four troops and a civilian.
The death toll for Wednesday and Thursday’s attacks rose to 14.
