Holyrood: ‘Lessons must be learnt from Glasgow lockdown’

OPPOSITION leaders have said that lessons must be learned after it was announced today that Glasgow would be removed from a citywide lockdown, after nearly months of restrictions.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that Scotland’s largest city would move down to level two coronavirus restrictions, having been confined to a “circuit breaker” 274 days prior.

Significant rises in case numbers across the country will see a number of areas remain at higher levels, while some will move to level one and island communities to level zero.
