Momentum founder Jon Lansman quits as group's chairman

MOMENTUM founder Jon Lansman has announced he will step down as the group’s chairman next month.

The left-wing grassroots group was set up in 2015 to support the successful leadership bid of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Mr Lansman said that the group “must not give up” on democratising the Labour Party under the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer.
